The house is located in the Highlands of Shelter Island, a small village in the town of Shelter Island in Suffolk. Known for its well-preserved Victorian homes, the neighborhood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. The drive to downtown Detroit takes about half an hour. The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is 45 minutes away. Three hours from London, Ontario.
